The price is good and you wont be a lump on the couch. The controller took a few tries to get use to (never played with a wireless). My husband and I play everyday and we even have Wii date nights. Though don't over do it.my arms were killing me after the first night. There are plenty of kid friendly games to choose from plus most of the games are fun for adults. All of the Nintendo's and the Playstations.
I know because I bought some for myself. The Wii is easy to set up and understand. The Wii beats them all. I have owned 6 different gaming consoles. The assortment of games offered are amazing and the get up off the couch playing is totally a plus.
If you are buying for children (especially if you have couch potatoes) the Wii is it.
I greatly enjoyed the game, with the only complaint being the graphics quality, (but I didn't expect great graphics from the WII)Overall I gave the system 4 stars. My only complaint is that there is much more empahsis on snappy movement, as opposed to good form.As for gaming, I purchased Call of Duty Reflex and the Zapper remote holder. I purchased the WII system with two goals, to get my wife and myself moving (using WII Fit and the balance board), and to try my hand at gaming again (after a multiple year layoff). I'm quite satisfied with the workouts offered by the WII FIT system, and it's pretty easy for me to stay interested in daily excersize. As expected it took me a day or so to get up to speed with the aiming, movement, an such, but once I got the hang of it, it took me about 12 days of play (a couple of hrs at a time) to complete all missions in the game and open the Arcade Mode.
he always tries to teach me to play, i quickly loose interest because using the controller is too difficult AND THEN THERE WAS WII. now he complains i'm on the video game too long. my husband has to have every video game system that comes out, we've owned everything from sega genesis to dreamcast to ps1-2-3 xbox + xbox360 and he spends too many hours playing after work each day. sent from heaven i can really enjoy playing video games.
The title is all I have to say, because this the only game system where everyone in the house can enjoy.
It keeps us moving, and laughing. We got it mainly for our five year old son, but we all love to play it. I'm so glad we bought it.
